Welcome to Moonraker, the movie in which James Bond goes to space and there's an actual laser fight up there between a crew of nothing but 10/10 hunks and the United States Marines. We also advance our Unified Bond Theory of the Moore years: This is primarily a series of films about boats, and some other shit also just happens to occur.

Oh so THATS why there was clown music at the beginning. So Jaws can be dressed up in a clown later I guess

I mean, laser guns in 0G have much more sense then conventional firearms in 0G considering that recoil of conventional gun would throw shooter all across the station. That’s why in space you need gun with little to no recoil so laser gun or some sort of rocket bullet

Does anyone know where that "greetings to our comrades in the 21st century" quote comes from?

Roger Moore becomes increasingly immobile from this movie on. By Octopussy, I think the crew is essentially wheeling him from set to set, similar to a Dalek.

I can’t fault the “Bond goes to Space” theme. Everything was space based in the late 70s. The Mary Tyler Moore Show had to be canceled because the only story left was “Mary goes to Space.”
