The “escaping through the movie poster” scene is one of the crassest product placements ever. The movie poster is for “Call Me Bwana,” with Bob Hope and Anita Ekberg which was —surprise!— another Eon film released at the same time. Right after shooting the man, we hear the lines, Bey: “that settles many debts,” Bond: “she should have kept her mouth shut.” I was ready to believe this was some sinister private message to Ekberg, but it turns out the scene was in the book.

Robert Shaw was probably the best Bond villain ever because he was so cold and competent. He essentially played the same character again as Doyle Lonnegan in The Sting and as Mr. Blue in Taking of Pelham One Two Three. He did The Sting in 73, Pelham in 74, before in Jaws in 75.
