As the Winter of Content comes to a close, we tackle the Wachowski Sisters' 2008 film adaptation of the 1960s anime Mach Gogogo! Recieved badly upon its' initial release, the film has since seen a renaissance and a critical reappraisal as a musing on art, artists, cycles of trauma, and what it truly means to create art under a capitalist system. It's also a movie about racing cars SO fast ------

I’ll defend the wife calling her husband ”pops” because how many households have called their significant others ”mom” or ”dad” because the rest of the family does.

Obviously what we needed was a scene where two authralian characters were talking to each other. Then we zoom in on their mouths and when there is a word that’s the same in both accents it changes to English, so everyone knows they should have an Australian accent and we can move on. :D
